day 57 blog 47 beach bonfire

flash back to september 19...my good friend charita moved here from new york a few years back and hadn't ever experienced the southern california beach bonfire...so doug worked with some of the other daddies to organize this one for her husband raj's birthday...we spent all day at the beach and then ella was one of the first preschool friends to arrive...i took several shots of sea running around with her at sunset...

here are her mommy and daddy and new little baby sister violet...
here is another preschool friend, ruhi...
we went off to shower and then bring a load of supplies back...
here is doug the leader and organizer of this bonfire...
sea running, pointing, leading daddy to our fire pit...
running faster...
you can kind of see our set up complete with large wooden spools used both to sit on, tables for hot dog and s'mores setups and then at the end of the night fire wood...
lisa, garland and other fuzzy preschool friends loading their sticks up to roast...
garland...
kim and cole and lisa enjoying homemade spicy beverages for the adults...
char roasting and serving everyone food...raj looking on while he roasts...
ella, karen and craig (one of my few flash photos...i was fighting it as you can tell by previous blurry shots)...
char, lisa and garland reflecting...
andy getting his hot dogs ready...calvin and benjamin are in the background...the boys were chasing each other most of the night so i missed shots of them...
daddy holding sea and story on his lap so i could eat and take photos...sea is eating corn on the cob...
raj with his birthday cake and all the children singing happy birthday...
i tried to get a family shot but my battery died before i got a good one...
