so yes, i hosted a "farewell to friends off to preschool and kindergarten potluck brunch with waterplay playgroup" at my house today...it was a success in that many people (myself and children included) had a lot of fun, wonderful gourmet home-baked treats, socialization...but i am exhausted both physically and psychologically...poor balancing of parenting, immediate gratification with food and drinks, trying to capture the moments in photos, last minute grocery shopping and cooking, not enough cleaning when i should and way too much cleaning afterwards...wait, i was going to blog on this later complete with photos...sorry for the free association, i guess i needed to decompress...so i thought i would focus on relaxing times at the beach...this series of photos was taken this past weekend at the beach. story found an inflatable ring and i just love the look of glee on his face as he flips it all around and sits proudly in the middle...
those kind of playgroups always leave me drained. I don't know how you wouldn't be. There was a lot of fun going on and the adults got to enjoy themselves a bit too. Nice day.
